Carjacking Suspect Arrested In Santa Cruz Co.

The stolen car was returned to its owner.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA β€” A man accused of carjacking was arrested in Santa Cruz Saturday morning. A deputy on patrol spotted the white VW Passat parked along Soquel Avenue.

A man in the driver’s seat, later identified as 36-year-old Jeremy Pineda, was found to have warrants and was arrested, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office officials said. He is being held at the Santa Cruz County Jail. The passenger, 38-year-old Robert Bombaci, was arrested for several outstanding warrants.

The stolen car was returned to its owner.
