Watsonville Police Investigating Deadly Stabbing

Police are hoping the public can provide information about the killing of a 27-year-old man Saturday night.

WATSONVILLE, CA β€” Police in Watsonville are asking for information from the public that might provide clues into the deadly stabbing of a 27-year-old man. Around 11 p.m. Saturday, police arrived in the 100 block of Carnation Drive and found the man in the road. Paramedics immediately began to render aid but he died on scene, according to Watsonville police.

β€œOur patrol officers on scene began canvassing the area for witnesses, surveillance cameras, any evidence on scene,” said Detective Ely Uretsky.

Police were unable to confirm whether the killing was gang-related, but said they are reaching out to witnesses and others who may be involved in case.

β€œWe’re asking for those people to give any information they can. No amount of information is too small that can help us put things together and catch the person that committed this homicide," Uretsky said.
