Driver Seriously Injured In Watsonville Rollover Crash
The two-vehicle accident was at Main and Green Valley Road. Occupants of the other vehicle were not hurt.

WATSONVILLE, CA – A man was seriously injured Friday night in a vehicle collision in Watsonville.
Officers with the Watsonville Police Department responded Friday at 9:08 p.m. to a report of a collision in the area of Main Street and Green Valley Road.
Police said a 30-year-old Santa Cruz man driving a blue 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck struck a blue 2005 Jeep Liberty driven by a 36-year-old woman from Watsonville.

The pickup truck ended up going onto the sidewalk, crashing through a bus shelter and hitting a tree before rolling over.
The driver of the truck suffered major injuries in the collision and was flown to a trauma center, police said.

The woman driving the Jeep and her children who were in the vehicle were not injured.
A dog was inside the truck at the time of the collision and ran away. The dog was later located scared but unharmed and was taken to a shelter.
Police said Main Street was closed for several hours as crews worked the scene.
Police said one person at the scene confronted and challenged officers as they arrived and delayed the officers' ability to control the scene and provide care for the injured driver.
The man was taken into custody and was later cited, police said.
