Duo Accused Of Rash Of Car Burglaries Arrested In Santa Cruz Co.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office reminds residents to avoid leaving any valuables inside vehicles.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA β€” Two people accused of multiple car burglaries throughout Santa Cruz County were arrested last week, sheriff’s officials said. Officials said investigators found stolen property, burglary tools and evidence of drug use when they stopped Elizabeth Chandler and Ronald Dillon, who were contacted by deputies after they were spotted driving near Davenport on May 9.

The two have been under investigation for a rash of burglaries, according to officials. Both were arrested on multiple charges including, suspicion of auto burglary, fraudulent use of credit cards, and possessing stolen property.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to avoid leaving any valuables inside vehicles and to always look car doors when leaving a car unattended.
