Ex-Palo Alto Resident Sentenced In Monterey For Felony Charge
Dominic Garcia, 39, pleaded no contest to a felony charge of taking or driving a stolen vehicle in the most recent case, prosecutors said.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA -- A former Palo Alto resident has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for several crimes involving vehicle theft, Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo announced Friday. Dominic Garcia, 39, pleaded no contest to a felony charge of taking or driving a stolen vehicle in the most recent case, prosecutors said.
His sentence was enhanced due to previous convictions for other similar charges.
On Nov. 22, 2017, he was sentenced for several cases of vehicle theft, failure to stop for law enforcement and leading law enforcement on high-speed chases that endangered the public, prosecutors said.

In the most recent case, Garcia was seen on videotape stealing a Ford F450 from a local equipment rental company.
In total, he will serve 15 years and eight months in prison, according to prosecutors.
