Man Filling Gas Tank Of Stolen Ride Ends Up In Jail: SCSO

WATSONVILLE, CA — A man suspected of auto theft and possessing stolen property was arrested at a Watsonville gas station late Wednesday night, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office officials said. An alert deputy on patrol spotted the stolen car parked in the station and contacted the driver, later identified as 20-year-old Watsonville resident Francisco Gonzalez.

The white El Camino was stolen from Watsonville, officials said. Gonzalez was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. No other information is available.
