• Watsonville Municipal Airport receives $115K in federal funding (santacruzsentinel.com) — Watsonville's municipal airport is getting $115,058 in federal funds to repaint critical runway markings, a safety upgrade already approved by the City Council. The grant will cover about 90% of the project, with the city pursuing a small state match. Local leaders say the work is key to keeping the busy 4,501-foot runway compliant and safe for roughly 60,000 annual operations.
   

• Four arrested in undercover sex sting (pajaronian.com) — An undercover multi-agency sting in Monterey County led to four arrests of men accused of arranging online to meet minors for sexual activity, including one suspect from Watsonville. Investigators posed as minors over two days, then arrested the men when they arrived at meeting locations. Authorities urge parents to closely monitor children's online activity and conversations with strangers.
