• Watsonville Municipal Airport Receives $115K in Federal Funding (aviationpros.com) — Watsonville Municipal Airport is getting $115,058 in federal funds to repaint critical runway markings on its main 4,501-foot runway, improving safety and keeping the facility in line with FAA standards. The grant, approved by the Watsonville City Council, will cover about 90% of a larger $121,115 project that includes construction, engineering, inspections and city administrative costs, with a small state matching grant also being pursued. 
• Twins outfielder Luke Keaschall doubles his fun in homecoming (santacruzsentinel.com) — Watsonville native and Aptos High alum Luke Keaschall made the most of his Northern California homecoming, ripping two doubles and driving in two runs for the Minnesota Twins in Sacramento. His big night helped power a 9–6 win over the A's and continued a solid season in which he's batting .274.
