(smartcitiesdive.com) — Watsonville's rural airport is one of four Central Coast sites targeted by the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership to prepare for future air taxis and advanced air mobility. The effort focuses on building local training pipelines, from K–12 through college, so Watsonville-area residents can qualify for new aviation maintenance and high-tech jobs as this industry grows.
