A sawmill may be noisy and dusty, but it's also a synchronized feat that churns out high-quality product. Watching logs become boards, beams and decking is mesmorizing and impressive.

It also helps you see how a 2-by-6 came from a tree trunk and just how much engineering and manpower it took to create that product.
