Man Accused Of 5 Rooftop Burglaries In Watsonville: Police
Police have linked burglaries at GNC, La Buena Taqueria, Wing Stop, the Tutoring Club of Watsonville and AT&T.

WATSONVILLE, CA β Police in Watsonville have arrested a man in connection with several rooftop burglaries that occurred during the last two months.
Fermin Sanchez, 32, was arrested on suspicion of at least five rooftop burglaries, according to police.
During the burglaries, which targeted stores such as GNC, La Buena Taqueria, Wing Stop, the Tutoring Club of Watsonville and AT&T, Sanchez stole small amounts of cash and small electronics, police said.

The majority of the burglaries occurred at the Overlook Shopping Center on Main Street between Jan. 22 and Tuesday.
Sanchez was initially arrested on Feb. 16 during a daytime break-in at a building at 340 Rodriguez St., police said.

He was released and ordered to wear a GPS ankle bracelet, but on Tuesday, he cut off the ankle monitor after breaking into an office building on Main Street and stealing a television, police said.
He was arrested again a short time later. Police are investigating if Sanchez is connected to other rooftop burglaries currently under investigation.
