Suspected Graffiti Vandal -- Age 28! - Arrested In Watsonville
The suspect was allegedly seen spray-painting graffiti on a Madison Street church.

Police in Watsonville arrested a 28-year-old man Tuesday afternoon for allegedly spray-painting graffiti on a church.
Police responded at 1:15 p.m. to the First Baptist Church at 101 Madison St. to a report of a vandalism incident in progress.
As officers were heading to the scene, they learned a witness had physically detained a suspect allegedly seen spray-painting graffiti on the church, police said.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Juan Manuel Romero, was found in possession of graffiti tools and was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony vandalism, vandalism to a place of worship and vandalism with damage amounting to more than $400, police said.
Police said the damage to the church was about $1,000.
