Teen Girl Driving Stolen Car Arrested In Watsonville

The victim spotted her stolen car in town. Cops got it back and bought her a new booster seat for her daughter.

WATSONVILLE, CA β€” Police arrested a teenage girl who was allegedly driving a stolen car in Watsonville last week. On Wednesday, the owner spotted the car and alerted police. Officers found the stolen ride in the area of Green Valley Road and Silver Leaf Drive. Three people in the car were detained and one was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and burglary tools. Her name will not be released due to her age.

Following the arrest, the car was returned to the owner who discovered that her daughter’s booster seat had been taken at some point during the theft. Officers from the Watsonville police department chipped in money and bought the victim a new seat and a few other items from a local Target store.
