The City's Water Division responded over the holiday weekend to a water main break on Main Street between Green Valley Rd. and Holm Rd.
Please be aware of traffic delays!
Information:
- Section of pipe was isolated from system and USA DigAlert was notified
- City crews started work this morning, Wednesday (2/19/14)
- The 12" main had 4-holes on the bottom of pipe
- Traffic control plan was made with CalTrans and City crews for proper road condition notification
- An 18'ft section of pipe will replace the broken section
- Excavation will require slurry back fill and proper compaction
- Road remediation will be required of affected area (2-lanes+shoulder), approximately 1000 sq.ft.
- Expected completion will be Friday afternoon (2/21/14)
