WATSONVILLE, CA — A police sergeant rescued an unresponsive man from a burning car in Watsonville last week. Police dashboard camera captured footage of the dramatic rescue. The video shows Sergeant Bryan Fuentez run up to the burning vehicle and start banging on the window to alert the man inside. Eventually, Fuentez uses a baton to break the window and pull the man to safety. Officers try to douse the flames using fire extinguishers until fire crews arrive to extinguish the blaze.
