Watsonville’s Pink Police Patches Will Benefit Cancer Patients

Watsonville joins many other police departments and public safety agencies participating in the public awareness campaign.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville Department is inviting the community to purchase their limited-edition pink police patches. The police department has partnered with the 2017 Pink Patch Project to help raise breast cancer awareness. All funds from the patch purchases will be donated to breast cancer research.

Watsonville joins many other police departments and public safety agencies across the nation participating in the public awareness campaign. The patches will be available at the police department for $10 while supplies last.

“Thank you for your support so far! The patches are going quickly and we have already had to place a new order for additional patches!”

Officers will also wear the patches on their uniforms as a show of support for those affected by cancer.

“During the month of October, we would like you to find a police officer wearing pink patches in the community and take a picture with him/her with your pink patch in hand,” police said via social media. “We also ask that you send those pictures to our Facebook page so that we can share with the rest of the community, showing that the entire community stands with those affected.”
