Watsonville Shooting: 1 Hospitalized, 1 Detained
Investigators said they found a gun at the scene.
WATSONVILLE, CA — A shooting in Santa Cruz County Friday morning sent one person to a trauma center, officials said. Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the shooting, which was reported in the the area of Highway 129 and Industrial Road in the unincorporated area of Watsonville. The condition of the victim is not known.
Watsonville police detained a man who is being questioned about the shooting, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office. Highway 129 was closed in both directions for most of the day due to the investigation. No other information is available.
