World Wetlands Day

WHAT

Come celebrate World Wetlands Day in Watsonville! Be part of a world-wide event by joining the efforts to restore and protect this unique and valuable habitat. Learn about the wonders of our own fresh water wetland, its native plants and animals; and how they benefit us. Community Service credits available. Snacks and tools provided.

WHEN

February 1, 2014
9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

WHERE

If you are interested, we will meet at Landmark Elementary School Parking lot located at 235 Ohlone Parkway. The restoration site is across the street, just follow the trail to find us. BRING Your friends and family, water, sturdy shoes, a sun hat. Dress in layered work clothes. We provide tools, gloves, and a snack. No experience necessary, just a desire to learn about and protect this local hidden treasure. You can download the event flyer and share with your friends and family!
