• County Responds to Homelessness Report as 2026 PIT Count Shows Persistent Crisis across Yolo County (davisvanguard.org) — West Sacramento now has the highest recorded homeless population in Yolo County, with 358 people counted in the January 2026 Point‑in‑Time survey, a nearly 24% jump since 2024. County officials say the largely unsheltered, chronically homeless population—many with serious health and economic challenges—shows the crisis is worsening locally despite a slight countywide decline, and they’re pledging continued investment in housing and services.
