In times of trouble and turmoil…the late Presbyterian Minister and Children’s television pioneer, Mr. Fred Rogers, always said to “look for the helpers”.
As it turns out…Mr. Rogers was right.
When bad things happen…good people come to the rescue.
Anyone can be a helper…especially a musician!
The global pandemic in 2020 was the epitome of “bad times”...but out of those uncertain times the helpers emerged…from doctors to pharmacists…to essential workers at grocery stores…helpers who became “heroes without capes”…rose to the occasion from all walks of life.
One such “hero without a cape” is musician Robby Robinson.
Prior to the “pandemic lockdowns”, Robby Robinson led a weekly “jam session” at Trinity Lutheran Church in Simi Valley, California
When "in-person" ministry activities were forced to close…Music Minister, Robby Robinson, pooled his tremendous talents…as the long-time music director for Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons…and took a local church jam session to exciting new heights…while unexpectedly becoming a lifeline for people who were stuck at home.
On a wing and a prayer…with the blessing of Senior Pastor Robert Lyon Barker…“Jam’ n Java” was born again, this time online, as a global celebration of music, faith, family, friendship, love and hope.
“Jam’ n Java” quickly grew into an online “Family of Friends” around the world affectionately known as the “Jammers”.
During a global pandemic...the ability to interact with Robby and one another...in the live comments during the shows...connected people in a beautiful and unexpected way.
"Jam’ n Java" became the weekly virtual hug every heart and soul needed.
“Jam’ n Java” gave humans, who were socially isolated and facing an unknown situation, a glimmer of faith, love and hope.
The virtual faith and social interaction Robby Robinson and the Jammers shared was precisely what human hearts and souls needed to carry on during uncertain times.
“Jam’ n Java” uplifted minds, hearts and souls and had a positive impact on mental, emotional, and spiritual health…which ultimately affects physical well-being.
Music in and of itself is “medicine” and emerging research is finally showing what we have known all along…music heals!
“Jam’ n Java” became medicine for the mind, heart and soul.
"Jam' n Java" saved lives in ways we will never fully understand. The healing properties of music…combined with faith in Jesus…and the heart and soul of actual humans…was exactly what the doctor ordered…a virtual prescription for healing.
Till this day…”Jam’ n Java” has remained one of the most wholesome, inspiring and entertaining shows on the internet…thanks to the genre-defying music, special guests from music, sports and pop culture…and most importantly “faith”…thanks to the show’s resident chaplain, #1 Best-Selling Christian Author and Pastor Chuck “C.W” Pearson.
There is truly no better use of one’s talents than to make our world a better place. Nobody has demonstrated this better than Robby Robinson and his loyal “Jammers”.
Out of a global pandemic…a beautiful oasis of peace, love, music, faith, hope and "friends who became family” was born.
Could there possibly be any greater gift?
The heart and soul of “Jam’ n Java” is the Jammers. And you can be part of it too.
Stop by online and discover the power of “Jam’ n Java”.
“This Monday night, May 11, 2026 - we celebrate SIX amazing years of Jam’ n Java.
