The Art of Storymaking for the 21st Century, a free workshop on personal book creation, will be led by artist Debra Disman, an artist, art educator and owner of Artifactory Studio (www.artifactorystudio.com) in Santa Monica.
By learning hands-on techniques in visual arts, craft and creative writing, participants will design their own personal one-of-a-kind books. A discussion about the function, purpose and meaning of the book as object will also be included in the adults-only event. Refreshments and supplies will be provided.
The workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the West Hollywood Library in honor of the Los Angeles County Public Library Centennial.
