LADOT to Relax Parking Restrictions for Passover

The Jewish holiday of Passover begins this year on April 18 at sundown. On the first two nights, people traditionally attend syngagogue services followed by meals known as Seders at the homes of friends and family.

Knowing that many Angelenos will be heading out to celebrate the holiday, the Department of Transportation, Bureau of Parking Enforcement and Traffic Control plans to relax certain parking restrictions in specific areas of the city.

Fifth District Councilmember Paul Koretz has sent out a letter stating that there will be relaxed "enforcement of street cleaning, time limit and preferential parking restrictions" for both the Passover holiday and the upcoming June holiday of Shavuot (Feast of Weeks) on June 7.

However, Koretz also stated that meters, tow away zones and other safety violations will be enforced.

The areas of "relaxed enforcement" near West Hollywood, as indicated in the letter, are:

• Area bounded by Robertson Blvd to San Vicente Blvd and from Beverly Blvd to Clifton Way (particularly near Cedars-Sinai)
• Area bounded by Laurel Canyon Blvd to Hayworth Ave and from Sunset Blvd to Selma Ave
