Actress's $150,000 Pearl-Adorned Oscars Dress Stolen from West Hollywood Hotel Room

Lupita Nyong'o's Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein dress featured 6,000 pearls and was stolen from the London West Hollywood hotel.

Detectives today were investigating the theft of a $150,000 gown worn by actress Lupita Nyong’o at the Academy Awards, authorities said.

Investigators were notified of the theft of the pearl-adorned dress about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nicole Nishida of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.

“It has been confirmed that it is the dress that was worn by Lupita Nyong’o,” Nishida said.

The dress was taken from a room at the London West Hollywood hotel at 1020 N. San Vicente Blvd. according to the sheriff’s department.

According to TMZ.com, the dress was a white Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein gown decorated with 6,000 pearls.
