Reported Stabbing at West Hollywood's Motherlode Sends Staffer to Hospital; Suspect Sought (wehoonline.com) — A staffer at West Hollywood's historic Mother Lode bar was hospitalized after an overnight altercation that 911 callers initially described as a stabbing, and deputies are still searching for the suspect. The incident capped a busy night of reported robberies and assaults in and around West Hollywood's nightlife district. Details on the victim's condition and what sparked the confrontation remain unclear as the investigation continues. 
2. WeHo Sheriff Station Deputies Stop Illegal Tow Truck (canyon-news.com subscription) — Deputies from the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station recently stopped an allegedly illegal tow truck near Fountain and La Brea, arresting the driver and seizing a police scanner. Residents are urged to use only law-enforcement or insurance-recommended towing services and to look for visible permits and company names. A new California law also strengthens enforcement against bandit towing statewide.
3. Eyewitness to Laurel Canyon's '60s Music Legends (bestclassicbands.com) — West Hollywood's storied clubs Ciro's and the Troubadour appear as key backdrops in photographer Henry Diltz's memories of the 1960s Laurel Canyon music scene. He recalls friendships with icons like the Byrds, Mama Cass, Joni Mitchell, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, and how his candid photography unintentionally became a historic archive of that era's Los Angeles music culture.
4. BMW Convertible Engulfed in Flames at Fountain and Fuller On WeHo's Eastside (wehoonline.com) — Early Sunday, a blue BMW convertible was found completely burned along Fountain and Fuller, just across the West Hollywood city line, with no injuries reported. LAFD extinguished the blaze and turned the case over to LAPD, leaving the cause and the car's status unresolved. West Hollywood deputies explained that such vehicles are typically towed and held as evidence unless the owner clears any suspicion of foul play.
