Newly Appointed Poet Laureate, Eloise Klein Healy, Is Ushered Into The Arts & Minds of West Hollywood With Grace, Dignity & Push-Up Bravada

Poet Laureate Kim Dowers wasted no time introducing her successor, Eloise Klein Healy, the Founder of the MFA program at Antioch College, who had been the first poet laureate of Los Angeles, until she was overtaken by the Encephalitis virus that disabled her ability to speak, and had first happened during a live interview with Caroline Kennedy.

Dower took her signature creative license to sing the praises of her successor, as she had done during her tenure with "I Sing The Body West Hollywood," by announcing a new form of what had been Shakespeare's strong suit, "The Eloise Sonnet...half a sonnet and double the impact."

In the American tradition of Robert Frost and Martin Luther King Jr., here is one of the poems Ms. Healy chose to recite from her most recently published collection, "Another Phase," at a juncture in time when moving forward is the choice of a sound heart and mind...
