Victim's Friends Plead for Help Finding Men Responsible for Random Atack
The loved ones of a West Hollywood man randomly beaten until he suffered a brain injury are asking for help finding the culprits.

Family and friends of a man who suffered a traumatic brain injury in an assault in West Hollywood asked today for witnesses to step forward.
Kirk Doffing was attacked on May 24 between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. on Santa Monica Boulevard at San Vicente Boulevard when four men approached him from behind, punched him three or four times, causing him to fall and hit his head, according to the sheriff’s department.

Doffing, who lives on San Vicente Boulevard, remains in a medically induced coma at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
One attacker wore a trench boat, authorities said. Detectives said they believe Doffing was targeted at random.
