World Heart Day observed nationally on September 29, 2013, this year is a reminder for everyone to take the heart healthy path. John Foster, MD aka Dr. John says the key to a healthy heart and to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke [CVD] is to stay active, eat well, and give up cigarette use. Although the message is simple, it is not that easy to walk the path. In fact, CVD is a global issue. CVD is responsible for over two-thirds of the deaths around the world each year.
