• Update: Judith Fire in Riverside County containment now reaches 100% (sanluisobispo.com subscription) — The Judith Fire that started Wednesday night on Speziali Road in Winchester has burned about three acres and reached 100% containment, according to Cal Fire. Firefighters built a full line around the blaze, and while some interior burning may continue, it’s no longer expected to spread as investigators determine the cause. 
• Lake Skinner-Area Fire Halted At Under 4 Acres: Cal Fire (patch.com) — Firefighters fully contained a small brush fire late Wednesday night about a mile north of Lake Skinner at Judith and Speziali roads in Winchester, keeping it to just under four acres and away from homes. Crews worked through rugged terrain and overnight conditions, finishing mop-up Thursday morning while investigators look into what sparked the blaze.
