• Putah Fire 100% contained more than 10 days after prescribed burn escapes containment (mercurynews.com) — The Putah Fire near Highway 128 west of Winters is now 100% contained after more than 10 days of work by Cal Fire crews. Sparked when a June 8 prescribed burn escaped control, the blaze grew to 860 acres, caused temporary road closures and power outages, but ultimately damaged no structures and resulted in no injuries.
