1 Firefighter Injured in Wildfire Along the 118 Freeway
Four acres were burned today in a vegetation fire alongside the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.

A brush fire scorched about four acres of vegetation alongside the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway west of Porter Ranch today, and a firefighter suffered a minor injury, authorities said.
The flames, reported shortly before noon near Topanga Canyon Boulevard, prompted the closure of two westbound freeway lanes in the area, authorities said.
Firefighters gained the upper hand on the flames after about an hour. County firefighters declared a knockdown on the blaze around 1 p.m., although some remained on scene to douse hotspots. No structures were threatened.
