Amid Rumors of Senate Run, Loretta Sanchez to Make Major Announcement

After denying plans to enter the race to succeed Sen. Barbara Boxer, Rep. Loretta Sanchez will make a "significant political announcement."

A day after she denied reports she would announce a U.S. Senate run, political organizers for Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Garden Grove, said today the congresswoman will make a “significant political announcement” tomorrow.

Sanchez denied published reports that she was going to announce her bid to succeed Sen. Barbara Boxer on Thursday, claiming she was still undecided.

But a media contact for the event, Bill Carrick, confirmed Sanchez would make the “significant political announcement” Thursday, stopping short of saying it would be the start of a Senate run.
