UPDATE at 2:10 p.m.: A bomb squad has removed that unattended backpack from the 22000 block of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, and no explosives were found, according to police.

A bomb squad has been sent to the 22000 block of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, where an unattended backpack was found in a parking lot, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Traffic is being routed away from the area. Tweets say Ventura Boulevard is closed in the area.
