WOODLAND HILLS, CA --- Authorities today identified one of three men killed when a Ford Mustang crashed and caught fire in a multi-vehicle collision in Woodland Hills.
The crash occurred about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 20900 block of Ventura Boulevard and left five other people with unspecified injuries. Bystanders used fire extinguishers and buckets of water in a vain attempt to save the three men who were trapped in the Mustang.
One of the fatally injured men was identified as Mubarak Alqashout, 20, of Woodland Hills, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The names of the other two men were withheld, pending notification of their relatives.

Police said a black 2015 Ford Mustang with the three men inside was going westbound on Ventura Boulevard when it struck a white 2015 Mercedes that was pulling out of a Chevron gas station.
The Mustang then plowed head-on into a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu that was moving in the opposite direction, police said. The Mustang came to rest against a black 2012 Honda Accord parked on the south curb.
