Our child finally started to learn at “Elements!” It’s small enough to be the best of “both worlds”--similar to home schooling, yet an actual school. And, it’s the ONLY American Montessori Society member school in the valley. It’s the real deal! Molly Ward (teacher, founder) knows her stuff! It’s a great balance between academics and fun and care! All other schools that we’ve experienced seem to lean too far in one direction. And, there’s a sincere “personal” aspect to this school. You, your child, and the teacher have a more-than-business-like relationship. There’s respect and there’s care & concern from a teacher who not only knows how to teach, she continues to be a student herself--researching and exploring as new methods and tools come about. Best of all, due to its size, you’re not dealing with (childish) politics & administrators that are all about everything other than “the kids.”
It’s perfect for creative, independent children and especially suited for hands-on and visual learners. It has an experienced teaching staff, small class size, and individualized curricula. Kindergarten is age 4 years, 9 months in September. After school care (including transportation) is available though Kids Club Day Camp. The only West Valley Montessori Elementary recognized by The American Montessori Society, this school is a non-profit organization that keeps its tuition low at $875 per month.
