CSUN-al Gardening Series: Water-Wise Gardening, Saturday, November 22, 9-11 a.m. Stephen Baldonado, I Garden 
With the entire state of California in moderate to exceptional drought conditions, municipalities are regulating the use of landscape water. Watering restrictions, hefty fines, and incentive programs are ways of encouraging less water usage. One approach is to remove or reduce the resource-needy lawn, and replace it with a California-friendly, water-wise planting. Homeowners who want an attractive landscape should consider water-wise plants that will perform well with less water and less maintenance than a lawn.
