Hazmat Team Shuts Down Winnetka Avenue In Woodland Hills: UPDATED
BREAKING: A stretch of Winnetka Avenue in Woodland Hills has reopened after a leaking canister in the roadway triggered a Hazmat response.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A hazmat team has determined that an unknown substance leaking from a canister onto the roadway in Woodland Hills did not pose a danger, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A stretch of Winnetka Avenue that had been closed down is now reopened. Motorists were being routed away from Winnetka Avenue in Woodland Hills where a canister fell from a vehicle shortly after 1:22 p.m. and began leaking onto the roadway, triggering the Hazmat response Monday afternoon.
A hazardous materials team was on the scene on the 6800 block of Winnetka Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, there were no vapors, injuries, or formal evacuations. However, drivers were being directed away from the area.
