Homeowner Suffers Minor Burns in Woodland Hills House Fire

A homeowner suffered minor burns in a fire at a two-story home in Woodland Hills today.

The fire at 4615 Stark Ave. was reported at 6:52 p.m., said David Ortiz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was particularly heavy in the attic and the damage was extensive throughout the home, Ortiz said.

About 40 firefighters -- including a contingent from the Los Angeles County Fire Department -- had the fire knocked down by 7:21 p.m., 29 minutes after it was reported.

The homeowner was taken to an emergency room for treatment of his injuries, Ortiz said.
