It's Going To Be Hot In Woodland Hills
While June gloom keeps the rest of the region fairly cool, a ridge of high pressure will bring highs in the 90s to Woodland Hills.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Temperatures will be slightly above normal Friday in some parts of the Southland, forecasters said.
The high forecast in Downtown L.A. -- 78 degrees Fahrenheit -- is right about where it should be, said National Weather Service meteorologist Curt Kaplan, but the 92 expected in Woodland Hills will be four degrees above normal as a result of an upper-level ridge of high pressure.
The NWS forecast a mix of partly cloudy and sunny skies in Los Angeles County Friday, along with highs of 71 at LAX; 74 in Avalon; 78 in Long Beach and Downtown L.A.; 81 on Mount Wilson; 84 in Burbank and San Gabriel; 86 in Pasadena; 91 in Saugus; 92 in Woodland Hills; 94 in Palmdale; and 95 in Lancaster.

Partly cloudy and sunny skies were also forecast in Orange County, along with highs of 66 in Laguna Beach and San Clemente; 69 in Newport Beach; 81 in Irvine; 83 in Anaheim and Mission Viejo; 85 in Fullerton; and 87 in Yorba Linda.
A slight cooling trend is expected to get underway in Orange County Tuesday and in L.A. County Wednesday.
