The Saywitz Company Negotiates Four Leases in Los Angeles County Totaling $12 Million

LOS ANGELES – July 1, 2015 -- The Saywitz Company – one of the largest privately held commercial real estate brokerage firms in Southern California with offices in San Diego and Newport Beach, Calif. - recently closed four leases located in Los Angeles County with a total value of $12 million and approximately 88,700 square feet.

Jeff and Barry Saywitz of The Saywitz Company negotiated an 11-year lease valued at $10 million for The Center of Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). Located at 21600 Oxnard St. in Woodland Hills, Calif., the 31,351 square foot building is CARD’s new corporate headquarters. CARD is one of the leading providers of services, therapy and consulting to families affected by Autism.

“This new modern, more functional and expanded facility will allow the company to continue to grow moving forward,” said Jeff Saywitz.

In another transaction, Robert Ritschel, senior vice president of The Saywitz Company, assisted Altmans Products, LLC in the extension and lease renewal of a LA County facility located at 1201 Francisco St. in Torrance, Calif. The 62-month, 33,660 square foot transaction is valued at $1 million. Altmans provides luxury kitchen and bathroom faucets and hardware on an international basis. Camilo Fabros of RiverRock Real Estate Group represented the landlord, The Watt Company in the transaction.

Ritschel and Andrew Herron of The Saywitz Company represented Granada Kitchen & Floor in a five-year lease totaling 14,625 square feet located at 1170 Wright Way in City of Industry, Calif. The transaction is valued at $800,000. Granada Kitchen manufactures and designs kitchen cabinetry and flooring for the residential real estate market. Dave Bueche of Sperry Commercial represented the owner, Jeunique Industrial Park, LLC in the transaction.

Lastly, Ritschel represented Argus Contracting in the relocation of its Southern California facilities to 11807 Smith Ave. in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. The five-year lease totals 9,051 square feet valued at approximately $350,000. Argus Contracting is a commercial, industrial and residential contractor providing specialized installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment for commercial, industrial, marine and insurance markets. Ed Daschbach of Colliers International represented the landlord, Teachers Insurance Annuity Association of America (TIAA) in the transaction.
