
Mother Nature’s been showing off. And she’s not done.
Within a week, the Southland experienced snow storms and record lows followed by record highs and summer-like heat in the mid 80s. In Long Beach on Wednesday, temperatures soard to 83 degrees tying the record-high temperature for this date set in 1996, the National Weather Service reports. But the elevated temperatures won’t last long.
By Friday, cloudy skies are expected, with temperatures struggling to make the lower-70s across much of the area, according to the Weather Service. Forecasters predict a 30 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday.
