Woodland Hills Man Dies When His Bike Crashes Over Cliff

A 23-year-old man died when the motorcycle he was driving went fell over the side of Angeles Crest Highway.

A motorcyclist killed when his bike went over the side of Angeles Crest Highway near the Mt. Waterman ski area in the Angeles National Forest was identified by the coroner’s office today as 23-year-old William Adkins of Woodland Hills.

The single-vehicle crash was reported about 12:20 p.m. about 20 miles east of the Mount Wilson junction, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim, who had been traveling east on a 2003 Suzuki Dual Sport, veered off the road for unknown reasons and plunged down a 100-foot embankment, according to the CHP.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be factors in the crash.
