Dr. Peart is committed to increasing student achievement, transforming the culture of the school district, improving staffing, developing the whole child, and ensuring financial responsibility and accountability.

  • Increasing student academic achievement, student and staff motivation
  • Decreasing discipline data with referrals and suspensions, chronic absenteeism and helping to increase the graduation rate
  • Supporting the reorganization and restructuring of the Exceptional Student Education Department, Athletics, and the Police Department
  • Supporting the establishment of the Office of Climate and Culture with a specific focus on school support, PBIS, Code of Conduct, homelessness, and student mentoring
  • Implementing and organizing a cultural passport program which allows all K5th grade students to attend at least three field trips to cultural locations throughout the city

Dr. Peart received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Alabama State University. She earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Detroit Mercy and a doctorate in education from the University of Phoenix. She is a proud mother of three children and an educator who believes with the help of a great team, the narrative can be changed. Her mantra is “Let’s all be champion educators.”
