Yolo County, CA and Redtail Renewables Execute Landmark Agreement (wasteadvantagemag.com) — Yolo County has approved a long-term partnership with Redtail Renewables to turn landfill gas from the Yolo County Central Landfill into clean renewable natural gas, with completion expected by mid-2028. The project will capture methane, generate significant annual RNG output, and provide guaranteed revenue to support landfill operations while going through a multi-year permitting and design process.

Dominguez Father Testifies on Son's Declining Mental State, Upbringing (davisvanguard.org) — Testimony in Yolo County Superior Court on Wednesday focused on the childhood and mental health decline of former UC Davis student Carlos Reales Dominguez, who faces murder and attempted murder charges in the 2023 Davis stabbings. His father described family struggles, strict discipline, and increasingly troubling behavior during Dominguez’s college years as the felony murder retrial continues in Woodland.

Vigil one year after 7 killed in fireworks explosion in Yolo County (ktvu.com) — Families and community members in Esparto gathered Wednesday to honor the seven workers killed in last year’s fireworks storage explosion in Yolo County, one of California’s deadliest such disasters. Loved ones shared memories, demanded ongoing accountability, and followed related court proceedings in Woodland, where arraignments for several defendants were postponed to July 30.
