• BMX is coming back to Yucca Valley (z1077fm.com) — Yucca Valley’s long-closed BMX track is set to reopen under a new lease that puts day-to-day operations in the hands of local nonprofit Yucca Valley BMX starting July 1, 2026. Town Council unanimously approved the agreement, keeping ownership and major infrastructure with the town while volunteers handle programming, maintenance, and insurance. Organizers say they’ll soon recruit volunteers via Facebook and hope the track becomes a lasting outlet for local youth and families.
   

• Yucca Valley man arrested for investigation into DUI and domestic violence (z1077fm.com) — Deputies responded to a reported domestic violence incident near Yucca Trail and Pioneertown Road in Yucca Valley, where a woman reported wrist injuries and threats before the suspect left. Investigators later found the man and his vehicle on Vista Road and say he had been driving while intoxicated. He was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal threats, and DUI, and booked into West Valley Detention Center on $50,000 bail.
