Bear Facts: Video Shows Bear Breaking Into Vail Home, Playing Piano
The tune was unbearable. The music was quite grizzly.
VAIL, CO — Here are the bear facts: On May 31, Vail police officers were called to an apartment where a woman thought someone had broken in while she had been out. The officer assessed the situation, taking particular note of the open kitchen window and the state of things in the apartment.
The officer realized it wasn't a burglar; it was a bear-glar. A black bear looking for food.
The woman was skeptical, but she checked her security camera.

Vail Police say that there have been no reports of violent interactions with animals within the town in recent years.
The officers receive training to deal with these calls and partner with the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife to respond when animals need to be relocated.
