Colorado Coronavirus Cases By County: Wednesday, April 8

Here's a breakdown of cases and deaths in each Colorado county.

According to government data posted Tuesday afternoon, there were 5,655 cases of the new coronavirus in Colorado among 29,199 people who have been tested. There were 1,162 people hospitalized, and 193 deaths were confirmed.

State health officials said they believe around 17,000 or 18,000 Coloradans have already had COVID-19, which is .03 to .03 percent of the state's population.

Colorado's stay-at-home order has been extended until April 26 amid the spread of the new coronavirus, Gov. Jared Polis announced in a state address Monday evening. The order was previously set to end April 11.
