Colorado Coronavirus Update: More Than 3,200 New Cases Reported

The state is seeing a "plateauing" in the number of cases and hospitalizations, Gov. Jared Polis said.

Over the past week, more than 3,200 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Colorado, according to public health data. As of Thursday, 49,436 people have been infected with the coronavirus in our state among 568,127 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 6,572 people have been hospitalized, and the death toll has reached 1,729.

Coronavirus cases have “plateaued” in Colorado, Gov. Jared Polis announced in a news conference Tuesday. But the governor urged Coloradans to continue wearing masks and adhering to social distancing guidelines so that our state doesn't see a spike in cases.
