Colorado Parks And Wildlife Campgrounds To Remain Closed

Agency staff said they are working on a reopening plan but are asking visitors to state parks to remain flexible in their travel plans.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife campgrounds will remain closed until further notice, park officials said. Agency staff said they are working on a reopening plan but are asking visitors to state parks to remain flexible in their travel plans.

The closure extends to all campgrounds and camping facilities, including yurts and cabins, at Colorado’s state parks and state wildlife areas, CPW officials said. They said this action has been taken based on the safer-at-home order from Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and the advice of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Reservations through May 11 have been canceled for a full refund, CPW officials said. No action is needed by these customers.
