Commerce City Fire: Two Girls Injured

The incident happened just after 6 Tuesday morning on the 6900 block of Weiman Court.

An explosion at a home in Commerce City caused a flash fire that burned two girls, the South Adams County Fire Department said Tuesday.

It happened around 6:15 in the morning on the 6900 block of Weiman Court.

The girls - both of whom are expected to be okay - were taken to Children's Hospital Colorado where they are being treated for burns to their hands and faces.

The girls - ages 11 and 15 - were two of ten people from the duplex displaced by the fire.
