Fox News Slammed For Playing 'Ring Of Fire' After Wildfire Report
A Fox News team has apologized after many expressed hurt and anger over a music choice that followed a Colorado wildfire update.
COLORADO — The Fox News Special Report team has issued an apology after the Johnny Cash song "Ring of Fire" played after a report about people missing amid a massive Colorado wildfire.
Thousands of Coloradans remain evacuated as multiple wildfires burn in the state, and countless families have lost their homes.
Fox News was giving an update on the East Troublesome Fire in Grand County, which as of Saturday morning, had claimed at least two lives. The report explained that Coloradans are phoning in to report their loved ones missing.

As the report wrapped up, "Ring of Fire" began playing.
Fox News Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier posted an apology on Twitter Saturday morning.

"It was a horrible mistake - and a complete oversight," Baiers tweet read.
"The entire Special Report team is very sorry for it. We truly regret the insensitive error & hope and pray the missing are found unharmed & the fires there are contained."
